Dr. Judith Ragsdale has been growing smiles for more than 40 years. She loves her young patients that much – and they love her enough that once they grow out of pediatric care they can’t wait to send their kids to her!
Dr. Ragsdale earned her dental degree from the University of Texas Health Science Center Dental Branch at Houston in 1984, and immediately went on to study Pediatric Dentistry at Baylor College of Dentistry, where she received both her pediatric certification and a Master of Science in Dentistry.
During her two years of advanced study, she learned all about the unique dental needs of children. Training included courses in child psychology to allow her to communicate with kids and gently manage their behavior, growth and development, dentistry for the special-needs patient, sedation/general anesthesia, and dealing with pediatric trauma.
An active member of the Greater Houston Dental Society and the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry, Dr. Ragsdale has achieved Diplomate Status from the American Board of Pediatric Dentistry, and constantly participates in continuing education courses. She and her husband, Arlin Maddox, live in The Woodlands, where they participate in numerous community volunteer and church activities. Dr. Ragsdale shares a passion for the game of golf with many of her Woodlands Dental Group colleagues, and also enjoys working out, reading, Ladies Bible Study, arts and crafts, and spending time with her husband, family, friends, and her two kitties.
