Let’s Explore The Woodlands Together This November

added on: November 3, 2020

While the roller coaster year 2020 is drawing to a close, won’t you join your Woodlands dentist and take a little time to celebrate November in The Woodlands. It’s beginning to bustle, hosting many fun events, activities, and just plain, old cool things to do. Remember, you can enjoy the area and show your support to local businesses while maintaining the proper social distancing measures for health safety.

Let’s take a quick look at some of Hello Woodlands’s “31 Things To Do in November” monthly guide for some interesting and exciting events in The Woodlands and Montgomery County.

(*Please note that events, programs, and details are subject to change due to the current environment and regulations, orders, and recommendations due to COVID-19.)

Eat Healthy — Fresh From the Farm to Your Table

When was the last time you visited one of our local, fantastic farmer’s markets? Did you know that on Saturdays from 8AM to 12PM, you can stop and shop at The Woodlands Farmer’s Market conveniently located in the Grogan’s Mills Shopping Center? Your dentist in The Woodlands is so honored and pleased to have your support at this time, and we know our local farmers and vendors will feel the same. There are so many diverse, unique options to choose from, especially when it comes to delicious foods and seasonal products. You can find:

  • Locally sourced produce
  • Grass-fed beef
  • Texas handmade artisan cheeses
  • Goat cheese
  • Sustainably cultivated coffee
  • Local honey
  • Breads and pastries
  • Sugar-free baked goods
  • Prepared tamales
  • Indian cuisine
  • Mediterranean food
  • Gluten-free

With a list like this, there’s bound to be something everyone in your family will love at The Woodlands Farmer’s Market. Why not snap a few pictures of your journey to the market and let your Woodlands dentist know how you made out?

It’s A Sign — The Holidays Are Here

Two events occur later this month that really help make it feel more like the holiday season in The Woodlands — the ice rink opening and the lighting of the doves. It probably goes without saying, but both of these events have modified their operations due to COVID-19 protocols.

  • November 20 – January 18, 2021 – The Ice Rink at Town Center Opens

There’s something about strapping on a pair of skates and feeling the chill of the ice that puts you in the spirit of the holidays. Why not make a date to visit The Woodlands Town Center and practice a twirl or two at The Ice Rink. They have even more stringent cleaning and disinfection procedures in place and can provide social distancing for guests following guidelines from the CDC and local orders.

  • November 21 – The Lighting of the Doves

If you can make it this year, why not check out this long-standing, cherished tradition in The Woodlands that does two important things for our community:

1) It marks the official start of the holiday season

2) It symbolizes peace during this time of year by illuminating the giant doves

There is so much to see and do in and around the area. We encourage you to do so safely with your family and friends to make some positive memories as we close out this year. Who knows, you might even see your Woodlands dentist around town!
